AT Labs exists because I believe every human life is created by God, carries eternal value, and is worthy of protection and accountability in this world.

My Christian faith is not one part of my life. It is the foundation of it. It shapes how I understand responsibility, stewardship, warning, and what it means to be accountable for other people when things go wrong.

I believe life is sacred from beginning to end. I believe we are commanded to protect life, sustain it, and care for it wherever we are able. That belief is not theoretical in my home or in my work. I’ve been a missionary to help the poor. My family has fostered and adopted children, and we continue to do so. I’ve supported disaster and emergency operations in a volunteer capacity. Faith is not a statement. Faith is responsibility lived out in real consequences.

Scripture speaks about the duty of the watchman. The responsibility to see danger coming and warn others. In my faith, that responsibility ultimately points to something greater than physical danger. It points to the reality that this world is temporary, that judgment is real, and that reconciliation with God is found only through Jesus Christ.

I believe that without apology.

I believe Christ will return.
I believe every person will stand before God.
I believe warning people of danger, physical or eternal, is an act of care, not fear.

If people are created with eternal value, then how we treat their lives here matters. If judgment is real, then responsibility is real. If warning is an act of love, then preparation is an act of stewardship.

If you see danger and refuse to act, that is failure.
If you know systems will falter and do not prepare for it, that is failure.
If you know people can be lost and do nothing to prevent it, that is failure.

Early in my exposure to this profession, I learned what that kind of failure can look like.

Years before I joined my once future department, a responder was lost during an incident. Decades later, it still shapes how people think about risk, preparation, and what “ready” actually means.

I was not there. But the lesson is still present.

He became separated during the incident.
It took days before he was found.
By the time he was located, the outcome was already decided.

In a different world, with persistent visibility and accountability (even when conditions collapse), that outcome might look different.

Not guaranteed.
But different.

That matters.

If you believe people matter, you do not accept preventable loss as inevitable. You build differently. You prepare differently. You take responsibility for closing the gap between chaos and accountability.

Sometimes infrastructure fails.
Sometimes it degrades.
Sometimes it never existed.

Ops still happen.

And someone still has to know where everyone is – because everyone is supposed to go home at the end of the op.

AT Labs was built around that reality.

We build hardware that keeps teams connected, visible, and accountable when infrastructure is degraded, denied, or missing entirely. Because operations do not stop when systems fail. And because people still matter in those moments.

For me, this work is vocation. It is using the tools and talents I have been given to help protect life wherever I can. It is obedience lived out through engineering. It is stewardship expressed through preparation. It is the refusal to ignore danger when I have the ability to help someone survive it.

AT Labs serves anyone who needs these capabilities. Disasters do not care who you are, what you believe, or where you come from. When people need help, we show up.

I believe every life has value because it was created by God.
I believe reconciliation with God is found through Jesus Christ alone.
I believe Christ is Lord.
I believe responsibility for others is not optional.
I believe seeing danger and refusing to act is failure.

And I build accordingly.

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.
